Eco-Recycling-Fundraising Program

What:

  • Recyclable Plastic Bottles
  • Plastic Gallon Milk Containers
  • Capri Sun Drink Pouches

Why:

For Our Students – Our activities will explore why we recycle and the benefits to the community and our school. Recycling is an important concept for students to understand and practice throughout their lives.

For Our Parents – Healthy Toddlers Care wants your child to have every advantage that's possible with an early education. We also want to provide a service you can afford. We choose to offer lower fees, and ask you to support our fundraising efforts to unlock the full potential of our programs.

When and How:

Every Monday, students will bring recyclable bottles, milk containers and Capri Sun drink pouches. (Parents – you're in charge of making sure these items get from your home to here!) Recycle bins will indicate which items go where. To keep the process moving forward, please have items sorted prior to your arrival at Healthy Toddlers Care.

Hint: Create three recycling bins at your home, this will reinforce the recycling lessons our students learn in their class, and make it easier for you to manage the items. If your bins fill up sooner than Monday, you are welcome to drop them off any day of the week.

PLEASE rinse your items after you use them, (and before putting them in the bins) this will make working with recycling more pleasant for all of us!

The Rewards:

What can we do with the funds we raise? From an introduction to computer literacy to museum visits and swimming lessons, the sky's the limit when it comes to broadening the world view of our young students.

2015 Campaigns:

Artificial Grass for Playground – Goal $2,400

Help us purchase artificial turf for our playground! Natural grass requires considerable time, effort, natural resources and money to install and maintain. In holding with our environmental priorities, we seek to use artificial grass in our students' play area. Our target of $2,400 will cover the cost for the materials and installation.

Childcare Center – Goal $10,000

We love having a home daycare facility! But we frequently have to turn families away for lack of room. By moving out of our home and into a daycare center, we can accept more families and offer more academic, creative, and social programs for our students.

Your contribution to our fundraising efforts is greatly appreciated. All donations, assistance and suggestions will be gratefully received.

Follow our progress online as we work together to reach our fundraising goals!
